Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

EMI/Parlophone will release British rockers Coldplay's first concert film/live album for nine years. The film documents the Mylo Xyloto tour, which has been seen by more than three million people since it began in June 2011. 20th Century Fox Entertainment UK have released the, official full length trailer for the highly anticipated Life of Pi (2012). Directed by Ang Lee and starring Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire), Gérard Depardieu (Last Holiday) and newcomer Suraj Sharma, Life of Pi is based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel and is released in cinemas on 20th December.

Disney is bringing director Don Chaffey's 1977 classic Pete's Dragon to Blu-ray. The live action/animated musical stars Mickey Rooney (Night at the Museum), Helen Reddy (singer/songwriter), Sean Marshall (The Small One), Red Buttons (The Longest Day) and Tv's Jim Dale (Pushing Daisies).
