Cinedigm Entertainment Group has acquired the North American distribution rights to Geoffrey Fletcher's directorial debut Violet & Daisy, starring Cody Horn, Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel, James Gandolfini, and Danny Trejo. The film will be released theatrically in 2013. Preliminary plans for a Blu-ray release are yet to be revealed.
In 2010, Geoffrey Fletcher won Oscar Award for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay (Lee Daniels' Precious).
International sales for Violet & Daisy are handled by Wild Bunch.
Synopsis: Violet & Daisy is the story of Daisy (Ronan) and her surreal and violent journey through New York City. With her volatile partner-in-crime Violet (Bledel) the two young assassins face a series of opponents, including one unusually mysterious man (Gandolfini), in a life-altering encounter.
