Big Jake 55th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Kino Lorber have detailed their upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of George Sherman's Big Jake (1971), starring John Wayne, Richard Boone, Patrick Wayne, Christopher Mitchum, and Bruce Cabot. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on January 19th.

Description: In 1909 Texas, the vicious Fain Gang raids the McCandles ranch, slaughtering the staff and abducting eight-year-old "Little Jake". To save her grandson, the matriarch (Maureen O'Hara) sends for her estranged, gun-slinging husband, Jacob "Big Jake" McCandles (John Wayne), tasking him with delivering a massive $1 million ransom across the Mexican border.

Directed by Hollywood ace George Sherman (Santa Fe Stampede, Hell Bent for Leather), this late-career classic from The Duke is spiced with humor, first-class gunfights and a wonderful Western cast featuring Patrick Wayne (McLintock!), Christopher Mitchum (Rio Lobo) and singer Bobby Vinton (The Train Robbers).
