Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Amazon's Blu-ray Deals of the Week affect both ESPN Films' ESPN 30 for 30 package as well as Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's first two The League season sets. Through this week, the 30 for 30 is 56% off its SRP of $99.95, while the League sets are 50% off their respective SRPs.

Peter Pan (1953) Blu-ray

Disney has issued a trailer for the Blu-ray release of Peter Pan: Diamond Edition. The 2-Disc set features the film's first BD release, as well as a digital copy. The Diamond Edition will only be made available for a 'limited' time. Disney has not specified just how limited that may be.

Twentieth Century Fox has detailed the upcoming release of Prometheus and the Prometheus 4-Disc Collector's Edition on Blu-ray. Containing over seven hours of bonus material including an alternate opening and ending, deleted and alternate scenes and access to Peter Weyland's files, the Blu-ray touches down in both a 2-disc edition and a 4-disc 2D/3D Collector's Edition, October 9th.

For the week ending on September 23rd, Paramount Pictures' highly anticipated Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures box set became the top-selling Blu-ray title. Indiana Jones only holds this position on the Blu-ray-only charts, but this situation makes sense, considering that this home media release marks the Steven Spielberg action franchise's debut on the HD format after years of DVD and VHS availability.
