This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Scream Factory and Shout Factory have announced their November batch of releases. They are: The Chow Yun-Fat Collection Volume One, The Family Man (2000), Women in Prison Collection (1971-1985), and The Transformers: The Movie (1986).

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

In honor of the iconic film's 50th anniversary, the 243-minute premiere version of Cleopatra has been meticulously restored and presented on Blu-ray for a stunning high definition in-home viewing experience.

Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company have officially announced the Blu-ray release of writer/director Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, which stars Jamie Foxx, Academy Award-winning Best Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson. The winner of two Oscars, including Best Original Screenplay, Django Unchained streets on April 16th.

Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street Gets U.S. Release Date

Paramount Pictures has set an official theatrical release date for director Martin Scorsese's latest project, The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). Financed and produced by Red Granite Pictures, the film will open in theaters across the United States on November 15th.

Blu-ray Sales, February 18-24: Skyfall and Argo Take Top Spots

For the week that ended on February 24th, MGM and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's release of Skyfall again topped the Blu-ray media rankings. The film, which grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide when it premiered theatrically last November, continued to succeed on the home media market, where it garnered a healthy HD market share of 53%.
