Dracula (1958) 4K Blu-ray

Warner Archive, in association with Hammer Films, is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Terence Fisher's Dracula (1958), starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough, Melissa Stribling, and Carol Marsh. The releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 27.

One Night Only Collector's Edition 4K Blu-ray

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Will Gluck's romantic dramedy One Night Only (2026), starring Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Bobby Cannavale, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Siren Blu-ray

"Dead Calm" meets "The Hunger" in the "genuinely sexy supernatural" (The Aisle Seat) independent British horror flick, Siren, the debut directorial feature of former Art Director, the late Andrew Hull (P2; Queer As Folk). The film features a cast of "exciting up-and-coming talent" (Maxim) that includes Eoin Macken (Centurion), Anna Skellern (The Descent Part 2), Tereza Srbova (Eastern Promises) and Anthony Jabre (debut). Street date is June 27th.

The Count of Monte Cristo Blu-ray

Director Kevin Reynolds' swashbuckling adventure The Count of Monte Cristo will hit Blu-ray this fall, courtesy of Disney and Touchstone Pictures. Jim Caviezel (The Thin Red Line) stars as Edmond Dantes, who uses his unjust imprisonment to plot revenge against Fernand Mondego (Guy Pearce, Memento), the man who framed him. The Count of Monte Cristo streets on September 13th.

Everything Must Go Blu-ray

This September, Lionsgate Films will release the dramedy Everything Must Go on Blu-ray. Director Dan Rush's adaptation of Raymond Carver's short story, "Why Don't You Dance," Everything Must Go features a dramatic performance from Will Ferrell (Anchorman) as Nick Halsey, a failed salesman and alcoholic who begins living in his front yard after his wife kicks him out of the house. The film streets on September 6th.

Trainspotting Blu-ray

Courtesy of Lionsgate Films, director Danny Boyle's dark comedy Trainspotting will make its Blu-ray debut this September. The film that made international celebrities of Boyle (28 Days Later) and his leading actor Ewan McGregor (Big Fish), Trainspotting tells the heroin-infused story of Mark Renton (McGregor), a young man growing up in Edinburgh. The Blu-ray streets on September 13th.

In an early announcement to retailers, British distributors Revolver Entertainment have announced that they will release on Blu-ray Jean-Claude Van Damme's The Eagle Path (2010). Technical specs and region coding status for this release are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary release date provided by the distributors is October 3.

The UK branch of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed that it plans to release on Blu-ray Eli Craig's Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010), starring Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, and Jesse Moss. Last year, the film won the Jury Prize for Best First Feature at the Fant-Asia Film Festival. Street date is September 26th.

This fall, Anchor Bay Entertainment brings director Adam Wingard's thriller A Horrible Way to Die to Blu-ray. The story of a serial killer (A.J. Bowen, The House of the Devil) hunting an ex-girlfriend (Amy Seimetz, Alexander the Last), A Horrible Way to Die was an official selection of the Sitges, Toronto International, and Fantastic Fest film festivals. This summer, Paramount Pictures will bring the 25th Anniversary Edition of Top Gun to Blu-ray. In the role that cemented his status as one of the most famous movie stars of all time, Tom Cruise (Collateral) plays Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, a hotshot fighter pilot put to the test when he joins the Navy's Top Gun program. Lorber Films, in association with Kino Video, will release two more classic Italian Films on Blu-ray later this year: Mario Monicelli's Casanova 70 (1965), starring Marcello Mastroianni, Virna Lisi, Marisa Mell and Michèle Mercier, and Boccaccio '70 (1962), featuring four segments by Vittorio De Sica, Federico Fellini, Mario Monicelli, and Luchino Visconti, and starring Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg, Romy Schneider, and Marisa Solinas, amongst others. Street date is September 20th.
