In a recent newsletter, the Criterion Collection revealed that it will be bringing Jean Renoir's 1939 masterpiece The Rules of the Game to Blu-ray. While the exact release date and disc specifications are still unknown, Criterion has confirmed the film as part of its November slate and that the studio will replace one supplement and create new packaging for the Blu-ray.
Furthermore, Criterion's website is currently offering a sale of their The Rules of the Game DVD at a discount of 65%; the promotional code "REGLE" will activate the discount at checkout.
Supplies for the sale are limited, as the DVD will be out-of-print once the Blu-ray streets in November.
