Scream Factory and Shout Factory have announced their November batch of releases. They are: The Chow Yun-Fat Collection Volume One, The Family Man (2000), Women in Prison Collection (1971-1985), and The Transformers: The Movie (1986).

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Studios plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Michael Bay's The Rock (1996) with a new combo pack release, which is expected to arrive on the market before the end of the year.

Dead Poets Society 4K Blu-ray

Raro Acquires Bernardo Bertolucci's The Conformist

Raro Video U.S. announced today that it has acquired the distribution rights to renowned Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci's Il conformista a.k.a The Conformist (1970), starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Stefania Sandrelli, Dominique Sanda, and Pierre Clémenti. The label also revealed that it plans to bring the film to Blu-ray later this year.

Blu-ray Sales, July 8-14: The Host Invades the HD Charts

For the week that ended on July 14th, Universal Studios scored the top film on the Blu-ray-only sales chart with its release of The Host. The film - director Andrew Niccol's adaptation of the Stephenie Meyer novel - received a lukewarm critical and commercial reception when it premiered theatrically last March, grossing just over $48 million worldwide on top of its estimated $40 million budget and scoring a Metacritic ranking of 35%.

Sony to Release Inferno in 2015

Sony Pictures announced today that Inferno, the third film adaptation in the Dan Brown series, will be released in the United States on December 18th, 2015. Ron Howard will direct this upcoming film. Actor Tom Hanks will also return as Prof. Robert Langdon.

German label Koch Media has officially announced and detailed its upcoming standard and Mediabook Blu-ray editions of Dutch director Paul Verhoeven's Flesh + Blood (1985), starring Rutger Hauer, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tom Burlinson, and Brion James. The releases will be available for purchase in Germany on August 30th.

BBC Home Entertainment is bringing Doctor Who: Series 1-7 to Blu-ray in a Limited Edition giftset. The first four seasons of the long-running show's relaunch are making their Blu-ray debuts. Special features have yet to be detailed, and BBC has not announced if or when the first four seasons will be available for individual sale. The giftset includes a Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote, and arrives this fall.

Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Beginning

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Beginning, an animated film based on the first two episodes of Keiichi Sato's Sunrise-produced/Viz Media-acquired anime series. Tiger & Bunny: Set 1 and Set 2 are already available on Blu-ray. The Beginning arrives on October 1st.
