Scream Factory and Shout Factory Announce November Releases

Scream Factory and Shout Factory have announced their November batch of releases. They are: The Chow Yun-Fat Collection Volume One, The Family Man (2000), Women in Prison Collection (1971-1985), and The Transformers: The Movie (1986).

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Studios plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Michael Bay's The Rock (1996) with a new combo pack release, which is expected to arrive on the market before the end of the year.

Dead Poets Society 4K Blu-ray

20th Century Studios is preparing a combo pack release of Peter Weir's Dead Poets Society (1989), starring Robin Williams, Robert Sean Leonard, Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles, and Gale Hansen. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 29.

Dogwoof to Bring Leviathan (2012) to the UK

Independent British distributors Dogwoof Films have acquired the rights to Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Verena Paravel's documentary Leviathan (2012). Official theatrical and Blu-ray release dates have not yet been revealed. Earlier this year, Leviathan won the Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Star Trek: Stardate Collection Blu-ray

Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially announced and detailed the Star Trek: Stardate Collection. This must-have set includes 12 discs, all 10 classic films and 25 hours of illuminating bonus content, such as interviews with the cast and crew, commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes and much, much more. Street date is September 10th.

Venezia Classici Section Revealed

The organizers of the 70th Venice Film Festival have revealed the complete list of the restored films that will be screened in the Classici Section of the prestigious event. Amongst them are Roberto Rossellini's Paisà (Paisan), Elio Petri's La proprietà non è più un furto (Property Is No Longer a Theft), and William Friedkin's Sorcerer.
