New Label Toy Robot Video Announces First Releases

New label Toy Robot Video, a subsidiary of Arrow Video, has announced its first Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray releases. They are: Masters of the Universe (1987), Guyver: Dark Hero (1994), Marshmallow (2025), Roaring Fire (1981), and Ninja Wars (1982).

Blu-ray Sales: May 31-June 6: Avatar: Fire and Ash Bests Hoppers

For the week that ended on June 6th, Disney and 20th Century Studios' Avatar: Fire and Ash remained atop the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and Blu-ray 3D charts for the third straight week, managing to fend off Disney and Pixar's new release, Hoppers, which had to settle for second place. Third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's One Battle After Another, which saw a new 4K UHD release with an exclusive Blu-ray of extras and topped the 4K UHD chart.

Mars Attacks! 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will bring to 4K Blu-ray Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! (1996), starring Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, and Danny DeVito. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on August 11.

Other new releases include The Super Mario Galaxy Movie from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season (2026) from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Hamilton (2020) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come from Searchlight Pictures and Dark Winds: Season 4 (2025) from AMC Studios. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Them! (1954) and Day of the Dead from Shout Factory,The Arrival (1996) from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, Eraser from Warner and Audition (1999) from Arrow Video.

Black Friday, Deals Tool and Price Tracking

The last few years Black Friday has been extended to a longer deals period called "Black Friday Week", which starts on Monday November 23rd, peaks on Black Friday 27th and ends with Cyber Monday 30th. This means that you should typically see a lot of great price drops the first day of Black Friday Week, Monday 23rd, then more price drops during the week and then more great price drops on Black Friday and then some additional price drops on Cyber Monday.

Sam Mendes' Spectre, the 24th James Bond adventure, has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for the Largest Film Stunt Explosion. Producer Barbara Broccoli, Daniel Craig and Léa Seydoux accepted the record certificate in Beijing, China on behalf of winner Chris Corbould, who served as Special Effects and Miniature Effects Supervisor on Spectre.

Earlier this year, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that two Star Wars-themed parks will be built at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Today, it was announced that, starting December 1, guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios will have the opportunity to explore the Star Wars galaxy via Launch Bay, which promises different behind-the-scenes peeks, special exhibits, and even the opportunity to meet Chewbacca and Darth Vader.
