Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director László Nemes' film Son of Saul (2015), starring Géza Röhrig, Levente Molnár, and Urs Rechn. The release will be available for purchase on April 26.
Son of Saul was Hungary's official entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 88th Academy Awards. Last night, the film was the winner in the category.
Synopsis: In the horror of 1944 Auschwitz, a prisoner forced to burn the corpses of his own people finds moral survival upon trying to salvage from the flames the body of a boy he takes for his son.
