French label Carlotta Films will release on Blu-ray director Jerry Schatzberg's film The Panic in Needle Park (1971), starring Al Pacino, Kitty Winn, Alan Vint, Richard Bright, and Kiel Martin. The release will be available for purchase on June 22.

The Panic in Needle Park will be part of Carlotta Films' Ultra Collector line. In addition to Deluxe limited edition, the label will have available for sale a standard Blu-ray edition. (The previous two entries in the collection are Brian De Palma's Body Double and Michael Cimino's Year of the Dragon).

Synopsis: A compelling story of the harsh realities of drug addiction, The Panic In Needle Park is also an immensely satisfying love story. Oscar winner Al Pacino (1992, Best Actor, Scent of A Woman) is riveting as Bobby, a charismatic small-time thief who frequents New York City's addict hangout, Needle Park. Although Bobby claims he's only "chipping" (occasionally using) heroin, by the time he meets and falls in love with down-on-her-luck Helen (Kitty Winn), his addiction is in fill swing. At first, Bobby provides stability for Helen. As time goes on, however, heroin grips the pair, and their lives spin more and more out of control.

Also on June 22, Carlotta Films will release on Blu-ray Ben Safdie and Joshua Safdie's film Heaven Knows What a.k.a. Mad Love in New York (2014), starring Arielle Holmes, Eleonore Hendricks, Caleb Landry Jones, and Ron Braunstein.

In 2014, the film won C.I.C.A.E. Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Synopsis: Young addict Harley (newcomer Arielle Holmes, portraying a fictionalized version of herself) roams the streets of New York to panhandle and get her next fix, while her unstable boyfriend Ilya (Caleb Landry, X-Men: First Class, Byzantium) drifts in and out of her life at random. When Ilya asks Harley to prove her love by slitting her wrists, she obliges with only mild hesitation, perhaps because of her other all-consuming love: heroin. Based on Holmes' real life experiences, Heaven Knows What blends fiction, formalism and raw documentary into a "beautiful classic of street theater" (New York Times).
