Warner Archive, in association with Hammer Films, is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Terence Fisher's Dracula (1958), starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough, Melissa Stribling, and Carol Marsh. The releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 27.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Will Gluck's romantic dramedy One Night Only (2026), starring Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Bobby Cannavale, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Rogers Video has released its list of Top Blu-ray Disc Rentals for the week ending May 24th, and the Canadian video store shows that the Tom Cruise WWII thriller 'Valkyrie' was the top rent for the week. It was followed by the Liam Neeson action film 'Taken' and the new release Kevin James comedy 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop'.

Microsoft has publicly released Vista Service Pack 2 as a stand-alone download today, with an inclusion to Windows Update expected within the next few weeks. The big news for owners of the PC-kind is a new feature which allows those users with Blu-ray Disc drives to burn directly to the disc using Windows Explorer.

BBC Home Entertainment in conjunction with Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring the documentary 'Wild Pacific' to Blu-ray on July 14th, day-and-date with the DVD release. The 300 minute series spans over two BD-50s, with video presented in 1080p VC-1. The soundtrack has not been announced at this time.

A poll has recently been created on the Blu-ray.com forums to gauge whether members think that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment should drop Dolby TrueHD as lossless audio codec on its future Blu-ray releases and start using DTS-HD Master Audio. According to insiders, Sony is checking public interest on the issue, although no decision is imminent.

Video Music, Inc. enters the Blu-ray arena with the release of 'Cheap Trick: Every Trick in the Book', a compilation of video clips and live tracks from veteran American rock band Cheap Trick, which previously had only been released on VHS. In an early announcement to retailers, it has been revealed that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will bring the sex comedy 'Miss March' to Blu-ray on July 28, day-and-date with the DVD. Phase 4 Films, the new distributor spun off from Peace Arch Entertainment Group, has revealed the details for the Blu-ray release of 'Explicit Ills', which is due out on July 14. Video will be presented in 1080p 2.35:1 accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby Digital track. As with previous titles by Peace Arch, no lossless audio track seems to be included.

Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's Technicolor masterpiece 'The Red Shoes' was unveiled May 15 at Cannes Film Festival in a newly restored version completed under the impetus of Martin Scorsese. A Blu-ray release is scheduled in the UK for June 29. Criterion's partner Janus Films has also participated in the restoration, so a US edition may follow.
