Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Independent distributors Oscilloscope Pictures have revealed that they are planning to release on Blu-ray director Nicholas Ray's recently restored experimental film We Can't Go Home Again (1976), as well as Susan Ray's Don't Expect Too Much (2011). A preliminary release date and technical specs for this upcoming release are yet to be revealed.

James Cameron's Titanic Available for Pre-Order

Amazon has listed both the 3D and 2D versions of Titanic for pre-order. No technical and supplementary specifications have been set for the respective packages, though Amazon is currently offering Titanic in 3D for 49% off its SRP of $54.99 as well as the 2D edition for 51% off its SRP of $44.99.

Blu-ray Sales, April 2-8: War Horse Rides High on Blu-ray

For the week ending on April 8th, Steven Spielberg's WWI epic War Horse has the top spot for total Blu-rays sold. This Blu-ray debut is a strong one for the film - 36% of its overall sales came from Blu-ray - which enjoyed both a worldwide box-office gross of over $166 million this past winter as well as six Oscar nominations at the 84th Annual Academy Awards.

Director Michel Hazanavicius (OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies) uses this ode to silent cinema to contrast a movie star (Jean Dujardin, OSS 117 - Lost in Rio) struggling with the transition into talking pictures and a dancer (Bérénice Bejo, A Knight's Tale) who becomes famous as the "talkies" thrive. The Artist streets on June 26th.
