Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance to Blu-ray this summer. The sequel to the 2007 action-adventure, this film follows the comic-book hero (Nicolas Cage, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans) to Europe, where he finds himself tasked to save a family from the devil himself (Ciarán Hinds, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). Three Chuck Norris Films Exclusively at Wal-Mart

More Catalog Titles From Olive Films in June

Independent distributors Olive Films have revealed that they are preparing four catalog titles for Blu-ray release in June: Freddie Francis's Tales That Witness Madness (1973), William Castle's The Spirit Is Willing (1967), Joseph Pevney's The Night of the Grizzly (1966), and Michael Curtiz's The Hangman (1959). Street date for all four films is June 26th.

Chipwrecked, the latest installment in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film franchise, garnered the number one spot on both the Blu-ray and overall package media charts for the week ending on April 1st. The children's comedy netted Twentieth Century Fox a modest theatrical success last year, when it grossed over $132 million domestically on top of a $75 million budget, and its home video performance so far continues that upward trend.

As part of its 100th Anniversary this year, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is offering special Blu-rays of selected catalog titles, and Born on the Fourth of July will arrive in the July wave. This adaptation of Ron Kovic's memoir stars Tom Cruise (The Color of Money) as Kovic, an idealistic young man whose patriotic fervor motivates him to enlist in the Vietnam War. The Blu-ray streets on July 3rd.

Our iPhone app is now available in the Apple App Store. It's a collection app so you can keep your movie collection in the phone/always with you and update it wherever you are. You can search for titles in the Blu-ray.com database and it also has a bar code scanner that you can use in stores, on your movies etc.

Timed to coincide with The Amazing Spider-Man's July 3rd theatrical release, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will reissue director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy in individual Blu-ray/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo packs. These O-Ring editions contain some new supplements and movie money good for use towards The Amazing Spider-Man. The Spider-Man rereleases street on June 12th.
