Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Silent Night Blu-ray

On November 30th, Anchor Bay Films presents a limited theatrical release of Silent Night, followed by a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack available to unwrap nationwide in December. The loose remake of the horror classic Silent Night, Deadly Night is directed by Steven C. Miller and stars Malcolm McDowell (Halloween), Jaime King (Sin City) and Brendan Fehr (Final Destination). Silent Night slays its way onto Blu-ray December 4th.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has officially announced the Blu-ray release of Branded. The now internet famous drama directed by Jamie Bradshaw and Aleksandr Dulerayn, stars Ed Stoppard (The Pianist), Leelee Sobieski (The Glass House) and Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development). Branded lures in consumers January 15th.

Kill 'Em All Blu-ray

Well Go USA announced that it will be releasing Kill 'Em All on Blu-ray this holiday season. From director Raimund Huber (Freerunner), the martial arts action film stars Johnny Messner (Tears of the Sun), Chia Hui Liu (Kill Bill) and Joe Lewis (Jaguar Lives!). As of now, no special features or technical specs have been detailed. Kill 'Em All fights its way onto shelves December 11th.

Open Road Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights for Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills (2013), the second film in what is shaping up to be an exciting trilogy. The film stars Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Cuba Gooding Jr., Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Sofía Vergara, and Lady Gaga. Machete Kills will open in 2013.
