Warner Archive, in association with Hammer Films, is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Terence Fisher's Dracula (1958), starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough, Melissa Stribling, and Carol Marsh. The releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 27.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Will Gluck's romantic dramedy One Night Only (2026), starring Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Bobby Cannavale, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the 2008 remake of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' to Blu-ray on April 7th, day-and-date with the DVD release. This three-disc set will feature a digital copy of the film as well as a copy of the 1951 remake (presumably on Blu-ray). Video will be presented in 2.45:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

In an early alert to retailers, Paramount Home Entertainment revealed an impressive list of catalog titles they will be bringing to Blu-ray this May. Panasonic has recently opened new 3D labs at the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory in California in order to establish and develop their version of 3D Blu-ray, which they are calling "3D Full HD" (3D FHD). There, they will work directly with Hollywood studios to develop 3D Blu-ray titles, as well as develop consumer products to support those titles.

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: The First Season' to Blu-ray on May 12th. This highly popular television series, currently in its ninth season, has spawned numerous spin-offs and garnished a loyal fan base. Technical specs have yet to be announced, though early indication is that this release will receive a 7.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.

Sony Music has announced that they will bring 'Chris Botti: Live in Boston' to Blu-ray on March 31st, day-and-date with the DVD and CD releases. The world famous trumpeter was filmed over two nights playing with friends (including Sting, Josh Groban, Steven Tyler, Yo-Yo Ma, John Mayer, Katharine McPhee, Lucia Micarelli, and Sy Smith) for this release. Video specs have not been released at this time, but we do know that audio will be presented in 7.1 Dolby TrueHD.

Retailers have been alerted to a new Blu-ray release of 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' with no release date. An "Endo Skull Edition" release was also revealed, indicating a possible limited edition version in the works as well. Now, we normally do not report on placeholders, but being that a new Terminator film is due for theatrical release this May, and industry insiders have mentioned a possible new release, we can say its a safe bet that a new Blu-ray release is on its way.

Paramount Home Entertainment has revealed that they will bring 'Dexter: The Complete Second Season' to Blu-ray on May 5th. The set will feature all 12 episodes in 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. The release will be BD-Live enhanced, giving viewers to additional content like featurettes, podcasts, and the first two episodes of the Showtime series 'The United States of Tara' and 'Nurse Jackie'.

According to Warner Home Video, the Blu-ray release of 'The Dark Knight' has sold an astounding 2.8 Million copies, with 2 Million being sold in the US alone. As many will recall, the most recent Batman film sold a record-breaking 1.7 Million copies in its first week of sale. Since then, sales have been steady, and worldwide sales are quickly approaching the 3 Million mark.
