Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

Batman: Assault on Arkham Blu-ray - Trailer

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has issued a trailer for Batman: Assault on Arkham, the DCU Animated Original Movie set to follow May's Son of Batman. The new film arrives this summer and features the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Batman, Troy Baker as Joker, Eliza Dushku as Killer Frost, Hynden Walch as Harley Quinn, Neal McDonough as Deadshot, Matthew Gray Gubler as The Riddler and CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller. An exact street date has yet to be announced.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

After rumors circulated earlier this week that plans were underway to officially change the title of the third entry in the Hobbit trilogy, filmmaker Peter Jackson took to Facebook to announce the new title: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Jackson also revealed details about the Extended Edition Blu-ray release of The Desolation of Smaug, which will include 25 minutes of additional scenes when it arrives this November. The Battle of Five Armies is set to open in U.S. theaters on December 17th.

In July, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will add four catalog titles to its Blu-ray catalog: Ivan Reitman's Kindergarten Cop (1990), Peyton Reed's Bring It On (2000), John Waters' Cry-Baby (1990), and Penelope Spheeris' The Little Rascals (1994). The four titles will be available for purchase on July 1.
