Paramount Home Media Distribution has dated its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of Robert Altman's Popeye (1980), starring Robin Williams, Shelley Duvall, Ray Walston, Paul Dooley, and Paul L. Smith. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on August 18.

For the week that ended on May 30th, Disney and 20th Century Studios' Avatar: Fire and Ash remained atop the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media, Blu-ray 3D and 4K UHD charts in its second week. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Alliance Entertainment's Fallout: Season Two (2025-2026) while third place went to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which was released on 4K UHD by Arrow Video this week.

Warner Archive has revealed its July batch of Blu-ray releases. They are: Macao (1952), Crime Wave (1953), Colt .45 (1950), The Keyhole (1933), The Seventh Cross (1944), Lilly Turner (1933), The Sisters (1938), Presenting Lily Mars (1943), Random Harvest (1942), Captain Horatio Hornblower (1951), Bonnie Scotland (1935), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935). All titles are scheduled to arrive on the market on July 28.

For the week of June 8th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release a new 4K UHD edition of The Patriot (2000), as well as A Magnificent Life on Blu-ray. Other new releases include Lorne from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Here (2023) from the Cinema Guild and Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer from Cleopatra Entertainment. Other catalog titles include Blu-rays for The Affairs of Anatol from the Film Preserve, Marlowe (1969) from Arrow Video and West Indies: The Fugitive Slaves of Liberty from the Criterion Collection, as well as 4K UHD upgrades for The 'Burbs (1989) and Bowfinger (1999) from Shout Factory, Notting Hill from Universal and Scream 4 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

For the week that ended on January 1st, Warner Home Entertainment's Suicide Squad took back the top spot from Antoine Fuqua's The Magnificent Seven on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking. Suicide Squad was a controversial success for the studio during its summer theatrical release. The film grossed more than $745 million globally on top of its estimated $175-million production budget but still struggled to find a decent critical reception.
