Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Pilgrimage Blu-ray

RLJ Entertainment is set to release Pilgrimage on Blu-ray. Written by Jamie Hannigan (Two Point Five Billion) and directed by Brendan Muldowney (Love Eternal), the film stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jon Bernthal (Marvel's The Punisher), and Richard Armitage (The Hobbit franchise). Street date is October 10th.

For the week that ended on September 16th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's The Mummy debuted at the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. The second installment in the studio's proposed "Dark Universe" franchise, The Mummy struggled to make much of an impact with critics and audiences, grossing $80 million domestically on top of its estimated $125-million production budget.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that all eight Harry Potter films will be available on 4K Blu-ray. The first four films in the series -- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -- will be available for purchase on November 7. The remaining four -- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 -- were already released on 4K Blu-ray earlier this year.
