This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT (2026) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood (2025) from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog (1949) from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Blue Thunder (1983) from Arrow.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Blu-ray

Searchlight Pictures is preparing a Blu-ray release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026), starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Durand. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16.

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

This Week on Blu-ray: November 2-8

For the week of November 2nd, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has a big slate, with 4K upgrades not just for both James McTeigue's V for Vendetta, but also for the complete series of HBO's Game of Thrones. Lionsgate issues the former theatrical release Antebellum on the UHD format, while Sony releases the third season of The Crown on Blu-ray. Finally, the Warner Archive Collection brings us more Hanna-Barbera with the complete animated series of Josie and the Pussycats and a restored classic in Frank Borzage's The Mortal Storm.

For the week that ended on October 24th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only sales charts. The beloved action comedy series starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown was recently remastered and released by Universal over several Blu-ray editions, including, for the first time, a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, which made up the overwhelming majority of its sales.
