This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT (2026) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood (2025) from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog (1949) from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Blue Thunder (1983) from Arrow.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Blu-ray

Searchlight Pictures is preparing a Blu-ray release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026), starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Durand. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16.

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

Paramount Home Media Distribution will release on Blu-ray Melvin Frank's The Court Jester (1956), starring Danny Kaye, Glynis Johns, Basil Rathbone, Angela Lansbury, and Cecil Parker. For the week of November 9th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings Bill & Ted Face the Music to Blu-ray. Shout Factory releases a trio of classic horror films, including a Collector's Edition of Hammer's The Brides of Dracula, while Kino has a trio of classic Clint Eastwood films newly remastered. Universal releases The Office: The Complete Series to Blu-ray for the first time.and Lionsgate releases Sam Macaroni's comedy Guest House.

Kino Lorber have revealed that they are planning to release on Blu-ray a brand new 4K restoration of Wallace Worsley's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), starring Lon Chaney, Patsy Ruth Miller, Norman Kerry, Winifred Bryson, and Ernest Torrence. The release is expected to arrive on the market early next year.

Blu-ray Sales: October 24-31: My Hero Academia Rises to the Top

For the week that ended on October 31st, FUNimation Entertainment's My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only sales charts. The anime film made over $13 million in a limited theatrical release in December 2019, but is only now making its way to home video. It managed to dethrone Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy, which slipped to No. 2, while omnipresent Disney family horror Hocus Pocus rounded out the top three in the week that included Halloween.
