This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT (2026) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood (2025) from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog (1949) from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Blue Thunder (1983) from Arrow.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Blu-ray

Searchlight Pictures is preparing a Blu-ray release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026), starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Durand. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16.

Dead Man's Wire Blu-ray

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

This Week on Blu-ray: October 26-November 1

For the week of October 26th, the Criterion Collection brings their loaded two-disc edition of Bong Joon-ho's Oscar winner Parasite to Blu-ray, complete with a black and white version of the film and hours of extras. Blue Underground continues mining its catalog for the 4K UHD format with Harry Kümel's Daughters of Darkness, while Arrow releases a newly remastered edition of Nick Castle's The Last Starfighter. Finally, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment continues to upgrade its Hanna-Barbera library to Blu-ray with its release of The Flintstones: The Complete Series and the Warner Archive Collection is busy with four titles in a week that sees numerous catalog and television releases.

For the week that ended on October 17th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Harry Potter: 8-Film Collection took the number-one spots on both the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales charts. The boy wizard's film series has raked in billions at the box office, and in a demonstration of its staying power, the complete series boxed set rose to the top of the charts in a week dominated by catalog releases and repackaged material.
