Blu-ray Sales: June 6-12: Raya and the Last Dragon Meets Indiana Jones

For the week that ended on June 12th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Raya and the Last Dragon topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the fourth week in a row. The first film for Walt Disney Animation Studios since 2018, Raya and the Last Dragon was set for a theatrical release last year, but the pandemic pushed it to March 2021. Nevertheless, it topped the box office in its first three weeks, eventually bringing in over $45 million domestically and over $107 million so far globally. Disney's home media releases also included Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook and Target Exclusive Digipack editions. This week, Raya and the Last Dragon once again had an HD share of 55%, with 11% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

In second place on the Blu-ray chart (and third place on the overall packaged media chart) is Paramount Home Media Distribution's Indiana Jones: 4-Movie Collection. This week marked the long-awaited debut of the Indiana Jones series on the 4K UHD format. A five-disc 4K UHD box set collects all four films thus far, all newly remastered from the original camera negatives and with new Dolby Atmos sound mixes. A bonus Blu-ray disc is also included with over seven hours of bonus content. This week, the Indiana Jones: 4-Movie Collection sold 97% as many units as Raya and the Last Dragon, with an HD share of 99.7% and a whopping 92% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

In third place on the Blu-ray chart this week is Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. As with Indiana Jones, this week saw the anime film get a 4K UHD upgrade with new Dolby Atmos tracks in both Japanese and English. This week, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete sold 62% as many units as Raya and the Last Dragon, with an HD share of 99.7% and a whopping 99% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
