This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT (2026) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood (2025) from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog (1949) from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Blue Thunder (1983) from Arrow.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

For the week of November 16th, Twentieth Century Studios and Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Josh Boone's The New Mutants on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, while Shout Factory releases Ivan Reitman's Twins on Blu-ray and their delayed UHD release of Makoto Shinkai's anime film Weathering with You. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Resident Evil: The Complete Collection on 4K UHD for the first time, along with a Blu-ray for The Broken Hearts Gallery.

Blu-ray Sales: October 31-November 7: My Hero Academia Makes the Grade Again

For the week that ended on November 7th, FUNimation Entertainment's My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only sales charts for the second week in a row. The anime film is one of the few new releases on the charts, only now being released on home video following a limited theatrical release in December 2019. Speaking of 2019, two films from that year, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment''s Joker and Universal Studios Home Entertainment's 1917 have risen back up the charts to take the podium in another week that saw catalog titles dominate a paucity of new releases.
