Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales, October 1-7: The Avengers Maintains Top Sales

For the week ending on October 7th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's smash hit The Avengers continued to dominate both the overall package media and Blu-ray-only sales charts. During its initial home media debut, the film made history with its record Blu-ray market share of 72%, and while that figure is down somewhat from the previous retail window, The Avengers has still maintained more-than healthy sales figures.

'The Avengers' Lead Blu-ray to a New Revenue Share Record

The much anticipated Blu-ray release of The Avengers and the direct to home video debut of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 resulted in a new weekly Blu-ray revenue share record. For the week ending 09/30/12, Blu-ray's market share of total package media sales was an all time best 44%. The new mark bested the previous record of 40% established on the week ending 10/08/11.

Similar to past volumes, the set compiles only the first 13 episodes of Futurama Season 7, due to the large gap that often breaks up Comedy Central's main series line-up. Buying a Blu-ray? Gone in 60 Seconds (1974) Blu-ray

Halicki Films and Anderson Merchandisers have announced the Blu-ray release of Gone in 60 Seconds (1974), the classic car theft film written, directed, and produced by H.B. (Toby) Halicki and starring Eleanor, the only Ford Mustang to receive starring credit in a movie. Its 40-minute chase scene is part of car chasing lore; USA Today calls it "one of the greatest car chase scenes in history." Street date is October 16.
