Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

Blu-ray Sales, Oct. 14-20: Pacific Rim Narrowly Defeats The Heat on the HD Chart

For the week that ended on October 20th, Warner Home Entertainment's Pacific Rim scored the top sales figures on the Blu-ray-only chart. Director Guillermo Del Toro's sci-fi epic struggled to find mainstream success with domestic audiences this summer; the film grossed only $101 million domestically, though it performed much stronger in international markets.

IFC Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to acclaimed French director Arnaud Desplechin's latest film, Jimmy P. (2013), starring Benicio Del Toro, Mathieu Amalric, Gina McKee, Michelle Thrush, and Larry Pine. The distributor plans to have the film in U.S. theaters in early 2014.

Warner to Release Malick, Hawks, and McLaglen Films in January

The French branch of Warner Brothers has revealed that it plans to add three classic films to its Blu-ray catalog in January: Terrence Malick's Badlands (1973), Howard Hawks' The Big Sleep (1946), and Andrew V. McLaglen's Chisum (1970). All three releases will be available for purchase in France on January 8th.

The Little Mermaid Blu-ray Disc Exchange Program

Walt Disney has created a Blu-ray disc exchange program to address issues present on the Diamond Edition release of The Little Mermaid. The key mistake the replacement disc corrects is a pair of switched shots that result in an audio sync error during Ariel's "Part of Your World." Blu-ray.com has ordered a replacement disc and will confirm which other errors have also been addressed once it arrives.
