Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Gareth Edwards to Direct Star Wars Spin-Off

Lucasfilm and Disney announced today that director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) will direct the first of several planned Star Wars spin-off films, with a screenplay by Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli). No details about the film itself were revealed, other than the untitled spin-off's theatrical release date: December 16, 2016.

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first trailer for co-directors Don Hall and Chris Williams' CG animated superhero adventure, Big Hero 6, which features the voice talents of Josh Hutcherson, Samuel L. Jackson, Freddie Highmore, T.J. Miller, Maya Rudolph and Jamie Chung. The film is inspired by the Marvel comic book of the same name and is set to open in U.S. theaters on November 7th.

For the week that ended on May 18th, Lionsgate's I, Frankenstein unseated Frozen from the top spot on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. This action-horror hybrid - an adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel - was a critical and commercial flop last January; the estimated $65-million feature only grossed $71 million worldwide, and critics did not respond any more favorably.
