Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Studios plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Michael Bay's The Rock (1996) with a new combo pack release, which is expected to arrive on the market before the end of the year.

StudioCanal have revealed that they are preparing 4K Blu-ray and 3D/2D Blu-ray releases of director James Cameron's 3D remaster of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, Robert Patrick, and Earl Boen. The Criterion Collection has announced that it will add five new titles to its Blu-ray catalog in October: David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon, Agnieszka Smoczyńska's The Lure, Carl Theodor Dreyer's Vampyr, and Olivier Assayas' Personal Shopper.
