U.S. label Synapse Films has confirmed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of Stephen Carpenter and Jeffrey Obrow's thriller
The Kindred (1987), starring Rod Steiger, Kim Hunter, David Allen Brooks, Talia Balsam, Peter Frechette, and Julia Montgomery. The release is expected to arrive on the market in early 2018.
Synopsis: A geneticist takes his assistants to his old family home to locate the deadly product of his late mother's revolutionary research into rapid human evolution - his monstrous tentacled baby brother, before a mad scientist gets to him first.
