This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT (2026) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood (2025) from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog (1949) from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Blue Thunder (1983) from Arrow.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Blu-ray

Searchlight Pictures is preparing a Blu-ray release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026), starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Durand. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16.

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

For the week of November 23rd, Martin Scorsese's The Irishman makes its long-awaited home video debut courtesy of the Criterion Collection, who are also releasing their massive Essential Fellini box set. Kino have a big week with Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: The Complete Collection and a remastered version of Best Picture Oscar-winner The Lost Weekend on Blu-ray as well George Miller's original Mad Max on 4K UHD.

Blu-ray Sales: November 7-14: Mulan Battles to the Top of the Charts

For the week that ended on November 14th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Mulan (2020) topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The film, an adaptation of an ancient Chinese tale about a girl who goes into battle disguised as a male, is one of Disney's many recent live-action remakes of its classic and hit animated films of the 20th century. It was initially planned to have a worldwide theatrical release in late March 2020, but after a gala Hollywood premiere, the coronavirus pandemic hit in mid-March and scuppered those plans. Instead, Mulan debuted as a Premium VOD title in September, in conjunction with a limited theatrical release overseas. Then, in a matter of days earlier this month, Disney both announced and released the film on home video, including Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
