Kino Lorber have detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Francesco Rosi's film Illustrious Corpses a.k.a. Cadaveri Eccellenti (1976), starring Lino Ventura, Tino Carraro, Marcel Bozzuffi, Paolo Bonacelli, and Alain Cuny. The release will be available for purchase on September 28.
Synopsis: A detective (Ventura) is assigned to investigate the mysterious murders of some Supreme Court judges. During the investigation, he discovers a murder plot that involves the Italian Communist Party. Cinematography by Pasqualino De Santis (The Damned, The Moment of Truth). Soundtrack by Piero Piccioni (Camille 2000, Contempt).
