Gwendoline Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray

Severin Films has dated and detailed its upcoming Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Just Jaeckin's Gwendoline (1984), starring Tawny Kitaen, Brent Huff, Zabou Breitman, Bernadette Lafont, and Jean Rougerie. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 24.

Blu-ray Sales: August 16-22: Project Hail Mary Grabs Achilles' Heel in Week Two

For the week that ended on August 22nd, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts for the second week in a row. Second place went to Troy, which was released on remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD by Arrow Video, while third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Obsession (2025).

This Week on Blu-ray: August 31-September 6

For the week of August 31st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release 28 Days Later on 4K UHD. New releases include the anime series Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc (2025) from Crunchyroll and Dry Leaf from Cinema Guild. Catalog titles on Blu-ray include Ten Women in Black and The Magnificent Cuckold from Radiance Films, while catalog titles on 4K UHD include The Hot Spot from Radiance and Tekkonkinkreet from Shout Factory and GKIDS.

Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

The Rock 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

Jacques Tati's Mon Oncle and Jour De Fete Heading to Blu-ray

The British Film Institute has revealed that it is planning to release Dual Format Editions of two classic films directed by Jacques Tati: Jour De Fete (1949) and Mon Oncle (1958). Street date for the two releases is October 22.

South Korea's Doomsday Book Wins Best Film Award at Fantasia International Film Festival

Korean directors Kim Jee-woon and Yim Pil-sung's Doomsday Book, a stylish horror sci-fi anthology film series, won the Cheval Noir Award for Best Film at the Fantasia International Film Festival on Wednesday. Kim Jee-woon directed the recent Korean hits The Good, the Bad, the Weird and I Saw the Devil.

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has revealed that it is preparing a number of exciting Blu-ray releases set to appear on the market in Q4 and early 2013. The studio has confirmed that amongst them is Joseph L. Mankiewicz's epic Cleopatra (1963), which has been out on Blu-ray in Europe for some time now.

Twilight Time has revealed its Blu-ray selections for November and December. The newly announced Blu-rays include The Rains of Ranchipur, Bonjour Tristesse, Beloved Infidel, The Blue Lagoon, and Lost Horizon. The Rains of Ranchipur and Bonjour Tristesse street on November 13th while the other three arrive on December 11th.

Warner Bros. has revealed the first theatrical trailer for Trouble with the Curve. This drama stars Academy Award-winner Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby) - in his first acting role since 2008's Gran Torino - as Gus Lobel, an aging baseball scout preparing for one last recruiting trip before he retires from the sport forever. Trouble with the Curve's scheduled U.S. release date is September 21st.
