Scream Factory and Shout Factory Announce June Releases

Scream Factory and Shout Factory have announced their June batch of releases. Amongst them are: Day of the Dead (1985), The Burbs (1989), Them! (1954), What Dreams May Come (1998), Bowfinger (1999), Slither (2006), The Flintstones (1994), and Arcane: League of Legends Season Two (2022-2023).

This Week on Blu-ray: March 30-April 5

For the week of March 30th, A24 will release Marty Supreme on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Greenland 2: Migration from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Hallow Road from Decal Releasing and Dream Eater from Alliance Entertainment. Catalog titles include Blu-rays from the Warner Archive Collection, Eiichi Kudo's Samurai Revolution Trilogy (1963-1967) on Blu-ray and Salem's Lot (1979) on 4K UHD from Arrow Video, A Man and a Woman (1966) on Blu-ray and The Blade on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from the Criterion Collection, as well as 4K UHD upgrades for The Return of the Pink Panther and Ray from Kino Lorber and Outbreak (1995) from Shout Factory.

20th Century Studios has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and Blu-ray James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025). The three releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on May 19.

Blu-ray Sales: January 18-24: Wicked: For Good Wins One Battle After Another on the Charts

For the week that ended on January 24th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Wicked: For Good took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and UHD Sellers charts in its first week, forcing another new release, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's One Battle After Another, into second place on all three charts. So strong was the appeal of Wicked: For Good, that Universal's Wicked: 2-Film Collection (2024-2025) also took third place on the Blu-ray-only chart, beating out the likes of other new releases Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere from 20th Century Studios and Roofman from Paramount Home Media Distribution.
