Ice Cream Man 4K Blu-ray

Alliance Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Eli Roth's Ice Cream Man (2026), starring Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O'Reilly, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on October 20.

Blu-ray Sales: August 9-15: Project Hail Mary Fends Off Mars Attacks! in First Week

For the week that ended on August 15th, Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary topped the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts in its debut. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Mars Attacks!, which was released on 4K UHD this week, while third place went to Warner's own Mortal Kombat II in its third week.

This Week on Blu-ray: August 24-30

For the week of August 24th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Disclosure Day from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Sheep Detectives from Alliance Entertainment, Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story from Shudder, Carolina Caroline from Magnolia Home Entertainment, Reacher: Season Three from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Father Mother Sister Brother from MUBI, Power Ballad from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Breadwinner from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and The Audacity: Season 1 from AMC Studios.

The Creeping Unknown (1955), starring Brian Donlevy, Jack Warner, and Margia Dean. Kino Lorber will release The Quatermass Xperiment on Blu-ray on December 2.

The latest season of the long-running sci-fi series stars Peter Capaldi as the newly regenerated 12th Doctor and Jenna Coleman as his companion. For the week that ended on October 19th, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's X-Men: Days of Future Past took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. Director Bryan Singer's ambitious sci-fi blockbuster was a big success when it premiered last May; the film grossed over $746 million worldwide on top of its estimated $200-million budget.

Marvel Entertainment has released the first official teaser trailer for director Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron; the same trailer that debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. The sequel to Marvel's Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, and arrives in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2015.

IFC Films PIcks Up Manglehorn

Independent distributor IFC Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to David Gordon Green's new film Manglehorn (2014), starring Al Pacino, Chris Messina, Holly Hunter, and Harmony Korine. The distributor is expected to bring the film to U.S. theaters in early 2015.

With even more deadly creatures on the loose, the film features the return of series star Michael Gross, who's joined by new cast member, Jamie Kennedy.
