This Week on Blu-ray: April 6-12

For the week of April 6th, Alliance Entertainment will release Mercy (2026) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. New releases on Blu-ray include V/H/S/Halloween from Shudder, Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass from KimStim, Peacock (2024) from Oscilloscope Laboratories, The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo from Altered Innocence and I Was a Stranger from Angel Studios. Catalog titles include Blu-rays for the Wandering Ginza Butterfly Collection (1972) from Arrow Video, Randy and the Mob from Lightyear Entertainment and Over the Garden Wall: The Complete Series (2014) from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, new Blu-ray editions of The Thief of Bagdad (1924) and The Stewardesses from Kino Lorber and a 4K UHD upgrade for Gilda from the Criterion Collection.

Catalog titles include the Blu-ray box sets Film Noir: The Dark Side of Cinema XXV (1947-1954) from Kino Lorber and Hardboiled: Three Pulp Thrillers by Alain Corneau (1976-1981) from Radiance Films, as well as 4K UHD upgrades for Some Like It Hot from the Criterion Collection, Sorority House Massacre from Shout Factory and The Long Kiss Goodnight from Arrow Video.

For the week that ended on March 29th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Moana 2 remained atop both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week, while Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Wicked (2024) remained in second place on both charts in its eighth week. Third place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Paramount Home Media Distribution's Tommy Boy which was released on 4K UHD this week for its 30th anniversary.
