This Week on Blu-ray: June 15-21

For the week of June 15th, Paramount Home Media Distribution will release Scream 7 on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include The Super Mario Galaxy Movie from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season (2026) from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Hamilton (2020) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come from Searchlight Pictures and Dark Winds: Season 4 (2025) from AMC Studios. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Them! (1954) and Day of the Dead from Shout Factory,The Arrival (1996) from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, Eraser from Warner and Audition (1999) from Arrow Video.

Popeye 4K Blu-ray

Paramount Home Media Distribution has dated its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of Robert Altman's Popeye (1980), starring Robin Williams, Shelley Duvall, Ray Walston, Paul Dooley, and Paul L. Smith. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on August 18.

Blu-ray Sales: May 24-30: Avatar: Fire and Ash Still Rising to the Top in Second Week

For the week that ended on May 30th, Disney and 20th Century Studios' Avatar: Fire and Ash remained atop the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media, Blu-ray 3D and 4K UHD charts in its second week. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Alliance Entertainment's Fallout: Season Two (2025-2026) while third place went to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which was released on 4K UHD by Arrow Video this week.

Warner Archive Announces July Releases

Warner Archive has revealed its July batch of Blu-ray releases. They are: Macao (1952), Crime Wave (1953), Colt .45 (1950), The Keyhole (1933), The Seventh Cross (1944), Lilly Turner (1933), The Sisters (1938), Presenting Lily Mars (1943), Random Harvest (1942), Captain Horatio Hornblower (1951), Bonnie Scotland (1935), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935). All titles are scheduled to arrive on the market on July 28.

Black Bear: Guy Ritchie's In the Grey Heading to Blu-ray

Black Bear and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will bring to Blu-ray Guy Ritchie's new film, In the Grey (2025), starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Rosamund Pike, and Fisher Stevens. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 28.

Michael 4K Blu-ray

Lionsgate Home Entertainment is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Antoine Fuqua's Michael (2026), starring Jaafar Jackson, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Nia Long, and Amari Deity. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on July 14.

Blue Underground: Amsterdamned and The Lift Prepped for Blu-ray

U.S. label Blue Underground has confirmed that it has acquired the distribution rights to Dick Maas' horror thriller Amsterdamned (1988) and sci-fi thriller The Lift (1983). The two films will be released on Blu-ray in early 2017.

Cohen Media: Three More Newly Restored Claude Chabrol Films Coming Soon to Blu-ray

Cohen Media has confirmed that it plans to add to its Blu-ray collection three more recently restored films directed by Claude Chabrol: Betty (1992), L'Enfer a.k.a. Torment (1994), and The Swindle (1997). Blu-ray announcements for the three releases are expected later this year.
