Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002), starring Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Christopher Eccleston, Megan Burns, and Brendan Gleeson. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 1.

New releases include the documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, the anime releases Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM from Crunchyroll and Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing from Shout Factory and GKIDS, as well as A Traveler's Needs from Cinema Guild and Midsomer Murders: Series 25 (2025) from Acorn Media. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Death Ship, UFOria, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, Runaway Train and The Phantom (1996) from Kino Lorber and Meet the Fockers from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

For the week that ended on September 16th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse remained atop both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart was Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, which saw a 4K UHD release this week, while Warner's The Flash dropped to third place on both charts.
