Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002), starring Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Christopher Eccleston, Megan Burns, and Brendan Gleeson. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 1.

New releases include the documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, the anime releases Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM from Crunchyroll and Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing from Shout Factory and GKIDS, as well as A Traveler's Needs from Cinema Guild and Midsomer Murders: Series 25 (2025) from Acorn Media. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Death Ship, UFOria, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, Runaway Train and The Phantom (1996) from Kino Lorber and Meet the Fockers from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

For the week that ended on September 9th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse easily topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its debut, knocking last week's number one title, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's The Flash, down to second place on both charts. Third place on both charts was taken by another new release, Paramount Home Media Distribution's Star Trek: Picard - The Final Season.
