This Week on Blu-ray: May 4-10

For the week of May 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release "Wuthering Heights" (2026) and IT: Welcome to Derry: The Complete First Season (2025) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include GOAT from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Solo Mio from Angel Studios, I Can Only Imagine 2 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Youngblood from Well Go USA. Catalog titles include Stray Dog from the Criterion Collection, G.I. Samurai from Arrow Video, Blue Thunder: The Complete Series (1984) from Sony, Gilmore Girls - The Complete Series (2000-2016) from Warner and 4K UHD upgrades for Alice in Wonderland (1951) from Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Blue Thunder from Arrow and The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005) from Magnolia Home Entertainment.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Nathan Juran's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), starring Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer, Torin Thatcher, and Alec Mango. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 21.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Blu-ray

Searchlight Pictures is preparing a Blu-ray release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026), starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Durand. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 16.

Dead Man's Wire Blu-ray

Blu-ray Sales: April 12-18: Godzilla Minus One, Brian Cohen of Judea: 4K

For the week that ended on April 18th, Toho's Godzilla Minus One rose up and crushed both the Blu-ray-only and 4K UHD charts, while Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) remained in second place in its second week on shelves and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration remained in third place in its third week. Fourth place went to the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Hoppers 4K Blu-ray

Disney will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Daniel Chong's Hoppers (2026), featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, and Dave Franco. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 2.

Eraser 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray

This Week on Blu-ray: December 14-20

For the week of December 14th, Warner Bros. has a massive slate, with Christopher Nolan's Tenet and Jim Cummings' The Wolf of Snow Hollow coming from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and no less than half a dozen titles coming from the Warner Archive Collection, including a two-disc set for the classic Hammer horror film The Curse of Frankenstein and Tex Avery Screwball Classics: Volume 2. Arrow Video will bring Ron Underwood's Tremors to 4K UHD, while Blue Underground will continue upgrading their catalog to the 4K format with Vigilante. Other new release films include Magnolia Home Entertainment's Alone and RLJ Entertainment's The Beach House and The Dark and the Wicked.

Blu-ray Sales: November 28-December 5: One 4K Box Set to Rule Them All

For the week that ended on December 5th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only charts, Peter Jackson's fantasy trilogy has seen several releases on Blu-ray, most recently in the form of a 4K UHD box set containing both the theatrical and extended versions of the films.

The week of December 7th is another big one for catalog titles, as Lionsgate Home Entertainment brings Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall to 4K UHD. But it's Paramount Home Media Distribution with a big week, as they upgrade Michael Mann's Collateral to 4K UHD and bring a new cut of the third Godfather film, The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone to Blu-ray, as well as a new release with the third season of Yellowstone. In other new release news, Well Go USA are set to release Brandon Cronenberg's Possessor on the 4K UHD format, while there are Blu-rays for Lionsgate's Smiley Face Killers and Shout Factory's Made in Italy.
