For the week that ended on January 2nd, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Tenet topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the third week in a row. The sci-fi action epic, which cost an estimated $200 million, was intended to come out in July 2020 and dominate the box office. Then the coronavirus pandemic happened. Theaters were closed worldwide with the release of the film only months away. Eventually, the decision was made to release Tenet overseas in late August, with a US release close behind in early September. Unfortunately, that strategy didn't produce the results everyone was hoping for, at least domestically, where Tenet made just $57.9 million. Things look a bit better for the film internationally, however where it has made over $300 million. In its third week, Tenet saw off Liam Neeson's latest action thriller, Honest Thief which itself was the only new release in the top 50 for the week.
