This Week on Blu-ray: April 20-26

For the week of April 20th, Disney and 20th Century Studios will release Send Help on 4K UHD combo pack. Other new releases include 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Die My Love from Mubi, Resurrection from the Criterion Collection, Primate from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Christy and Shelter from Black Bear, The Strangers: Chapter 3 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, The Forbidden City from Well Go USA Task: The Complete First Season from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Jimpa from Kino Lorber. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Point Blank from Criterion, Sleepers from Warner, The Ninth Gate from Lionsgate and The Eye from Arrow Video.

Blu-ray Sales: April 5-11: Over the Garden Wall and Mercy Top the Charts

For the week that ended on April 11th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Over the Garden Wall: The Complete Series (2014) topped the Blu-ray-only chart, while the weeks top 4K UHD release, Alliance Entertainment's Mercy (2026) took second place and third place went to Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Greenland 2: Migration in its second week.

28 Days Later 4K Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002), starring Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Christopher Eccleston, Megan Burns, and Brendan Gleeson. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 1.

The Criterion Collection has announced its July batch of releases. They are: Hud (1963), The Elephant Man (1980), The Crying Game (1992), Cruel Story of Youth (1960), Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974), The Love That Remains (2025), and I'll Remind You of Everything: The Films of Mike Mills.

Notting Hill 4K Blu-ray

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will issue a combo pack release of Roger Michell's Notting Hill (1999), starring Julia Roberts, Hugh Grant, Richard McCabe, Rhys Ifans, and James Dreyfus. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 9.

Blu-ray Sales: July 9-15: Scream VI Edges Out John Wick and Mario

For the week that ended on July 15th, Paramount Home Media Distribution's Scream VI topped the Blu-ray-only chart in its debut. Lionsgate Home Entertainment's John Wick: Chapter 4 dropped to second place on the Blu-ray-only chart and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's The Super Mario Bros. Movie, came in third.

Universal: New 4K Restoration of American Graffiti Heading to U.S. Cinemas

Universal Pictures and Fathom Events will screen a brand new 4K restoration of George Lucas' American Graffiti in select theaters across the nation on August 27 and 30. Later this year, the 4K restoration will be made available on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray as well.

Other new releases include Resident Evil: Death Island on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment AND Paint (2023) on Blu-ray from RLJE Films. Catalog titles include a Blu-ray 3D release for Robot Monster from Bayview Entertainment and 4K UHD upgrades for One False Move from the Criterion Collection, Needful Things from Kino Lorber and World War Z from Shout Factory.
