This Week on Blu-ray: November 25-December 1

For the week of November 25th, Shout Factory will release Hush (2016) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. New releases on Blu-ray include Attack on Titan: The Final Season - THE FINAL CHAPTERS - Part 3 from Crunchyroll, Beezel from Epic Pictures and Night of the Missing from Cinedigm. Catalog titles include several Blu-rays from Kino Lorber and the Warner Archive Collection, as well as 4K UHD upgrades for Paper Moon and The Shape of Water from the Criterion Collection, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and Bones and All from Shout and The Hunted (2003) and Bug (2006) from Kino.

Blu-ray Sales: November 10-16: Deadpool & Wolverine Still on Top in Fourth Week

For the week that ended on November 16th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine spent a fourth week on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts, while Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Twisters again remained in second place on both charts. Third place on the Blu-ray-only chart this week went to Paramount Home Media Distribution's Gladiator (2000), which rose over twenty places into the top three ahead of the theatrical release of its sequel Gladiator II.

Smile 2 4K Blu-ray

Paramount Home Media Distribution has announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Parker Finn's Smile 2 (2024), starring Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Naomi Scott, Dylan Gelula, and Rosemarie DeWitt. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on January 21.

Criterion Announces February Releases

The Criterion Collection has announced its February batch of 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases. They are: Drugstore Cowboy (1989), Cronos (1993), Performance (1970), Crossing Delancey (1988), King Lear (1987), amd Punch-Drunk Love (2002).

Se7en 30th Anniversary Edition 4K Blu-ray (UPDATED)

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will celebrate the 30th anniversary of David Fincher's Se7en (1995) with a new 4K Blu-ray edition, which is scheduled to arrive on the market on January 7th.

For the week of August 26th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios will release Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include The Watchers, Watchmen: Chapter 1, Succession: The Complete Series and Vikings: Valhalla: Season One from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Star Trek: Discovery - The Final Season from Paramount Home Media Distribution, The Garfield Movie from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Resident Alien: Season Three from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Mammals from BBC. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for Desperado from Arrow Video and Drive (2011) from Sony.

Kino Lorber are preparing a 4K Blu-ray release of Roy Ward Baker's Scars of Dracula (1970), starring Christopher Lee, Dennis Waterman, Jenny Hanley, Christopher Matthews, and Patrick Troughton. A preliminary release date has not yet been revealed.
