When the king of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington, gets bored of his job preparing for Halloween every year, he discovers Christmas Town and is inspired to take control of Christmas season for a change. Unfortunately his ghoulish subjects have difficulty getting the festive holiday quite right. Meanwhile, Sally, a pretty maid who takes care of her creator, Dr. Finklestein, is trying to escape from her confines. She worries for Jack and foresees his plans will end in ruin.

Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive UHD SteelBook release for the 1993 animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is another in Disney's "Disney 100" line of UHD SteelBook re-releases. The disc and digital content are identical to that found in the The Nightmare Before Christmas 4K wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

There are no on disc supplements on the 4K UHD disc. The 2D 1080 review above details the supplements on the 1080 disc included with this release. The SteelBook follows Disney's "new" tradition with the Disney 100 line by offering a predominantly silver cover that features an insert depiction of Jack on the front panel. The same imprinted Disney 100 logo on the other SteelBooks in this series is reproduced here, and the back cover features an illustration of a certain spectral pet. The spine follows the design elements of the other previously released SteelBooks, and the inside panels offer Sally and Jack. See the fourth photo I've uploaded to the review for how the discs are packaged; the digital code is held by the tabs on the left side.
These Disney 100 SteelBooks are obviously the stuff of serious collectors' dreams, and for those collectors, this release comes Recommended.
