CBS/Paramount has re-released 'Star Trek: Enterprise' to Blu-ray in a set that includes all four seasons in one package, similar to the studio's reissue of both the original series and the lengthier Next Generation. Video, audio, and supplemental presentations remain unchanged. For a closer look at the new "shelf-friendly" packaging, scroll on down to the supplemental section of the review below.

Enterprise's complete collection comes housed in the usual CBS-Parmaount Epik Pak bulk casing, taller than the typical Blu-ray case (see
photos) and saves only a smidgen of width in comparison to all four individual seasons combined. The presentation inside is simple, too. A leafy
hub carries all 24 discs, with two discs per side, staggered. The removable leaf fits perfectly into the case.
Artwork is simple, but effective. The front of the package displays the NX-01 with a green warp speed tint about it, set against a black background.
The rear offers a big-letter blurb, a smaller text summary, several stills, and the usual technical information cluster box. The inside print features a
listing of all episodes and special features, broken down by both season and disc. A vanilla slipcover which merely recreates the packaging artwork on
all sides is included.

Enterprise is a show that's a bit better than it's remembered to be. If nothing else it's an enjoyable journey backwards to the Federation's origins and man's first steps into deep space warp travel. The show flashes more potential than it realizes, but it holds up well and more often hits than misses. CBS/Paramount's "shelf friendly" full series reissue isn't particularly flashy, but for fans who want the entire series at a substantial savings over the individual releases (approaching $90 at time of writing, though that's certainly going to fluctuate over the months and years), this is the way to go. The packaging doesn't exactly save any shelf space, and it in fact takes up more if vertical limitations are a concern, but it's hard to beat the value compared to the individuals. Recommended, though obviously those who already own the individual seasons have no need to repurchase, except for Star Trek home video collectors.
