Reviewed by Martin Liebman August 17, 2022
Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the classic 1995 film 'Heat.' The disc and digital content is
identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below
for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Heat 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Disney's dark, smooth SteelBook will show some handling fingerprints. The front panel is very dark and very blue. The film's title appears across the
bottom center in the familiar fade-to-gray type. Pacino, De Niro, Kilmer, and Mann's names appear above and below. "Director's Definitive Edition"
text
appears below the title. At the top are the De Niro and Pacino characters, left and right respectively, with a vertical black line separating them. The
former is looking to the left, the latter facing forward. The rear panel follows the same basic color scheme. It's essentially blank beyond five figures
scattered along the bottom third, each casting a long shadow. Some studio logos and legalese appear along the bottom in off-white.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The three discs, one UHD and two Blu-ray, are situated as follows: one disc
on the left on its own hub and two on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a very stark dark-to-light-to-dark distant city panorama. A lone
figure
stands on the right.

Heat 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

This embodies the "stylishly cool" SteelBook, both in look and color scheme. Its simplicity is very attractive and welcome. The movie and the UHD
presentation are excellent. Very highly recommended.
