Reviewed by Martin Liebman September 25, 2019
Disney and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Pixar's 2012 hit animated feature 'Brave.' The disc and digital
content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below
for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Brave 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Unlike many of the other September 2019 Disney/Pixar SteelBooks, Brave's glossy, smooth front panel contains no debossing work. The aqua
colored background features only the film's flat title at the top, with "Disney Pixar" text above. Center and on through to the bottom is a nearly
full-body shot
of Merida, her flowing red hair blowing in the breeze, a breeze into which she aims an arrow. She's in a blue dress with a quiver full of arrows hanging
down her backside. A flat profile rendering of Elinor in bear form appears behind Merida, made of a much lighter blue color to stand apart from the
background and her daughter's dress. Her eye intersects at a point towards the top of Merida's bow. The rear panel carries over the same color
scheme. Like the other SteelBooks
from this wave, only a smaller central image of a minor character -- in this case three minor characters -- appears center. Here it's the triplets in bear
form, playfully stacked one atop another. The spine is of an offsetting dark blue color. The title as it appears on the front is centered and an UltraHD
logo appears at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code floats; there are no tabs. One disc appears on its own hub on the left hand panel and two others in staggered-stacked
formation on the right. The inner print is a two-panel spread that depicts King Fergus on the left and Merida on the right. They are playfully clashing
swords while Queen Elinor, in human form, looks down on them from her perch on the castle wall with something of a disapproving look on her face. A
bright blue sky
cheerfully sets the tone at the top.

Brave 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

This is an OK SteelBook. Few from this wave have been really nice. The lack of front panel debossing work is a disappointment and the rear
image is very uninspired, the obvious weak point throughout the entire collection. The inner print is fine and the offsetting spine color is nice enough.
The on-disc content is relatively strong. Recommended.
