Lionsgate has released season three of 'Ash vs Evil Dead' in collectible SteelBook packaging, which is exclusive to Best Buy. The front cover is

Ash vs Evil Dead: The Complete Third Season Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras
Perhaps one of the first things one will notice about this SteelBook is its anti-fingerprinting texture. It's not glossy and feels very good in the hand; it
would be nice if other SteelBooks took notice and more widely replicated the look and feel of this one. The front cover offers the best look of the
everything the packaging has to offer. It features the high
school mascot Cougie standing in the school hallway, in skewered, slanted perspective. Its razor claws are dripping blood. A shadow silhouette of Ash
appears, with chainsaw raised in
preparation
to take Cougie on right there in the hallowed halls of the high school he once called home. Across the bottom is a rendering of a chainsaw with the text
"Evil is about to get schooled" written in collegiate-style lettering. A small reptilian comically protrudes above the blade. The rear panel simply depicts
Cougie in close-up against a blue background, its razor teeth appearing through a demonic grin. The mascot is holding a basketball under its left arm
and claws are extended; a
game probably wouldn't last long if someone passed him the ball. The spine is of an orange-ish/red-ish color with the show's title centered (the only
place the title appears) and both Blu-ray and Lionsgate logos appear at the bottom.
Inside are the two discs, both featuring identical artwork (which is also recreated on the show's menu screen). Curiously, there's room for three discs,
even though only space for two is needed. The left hand side holds a single hub while the right holds two, which are staggered. The good news is that
the discs
can be placed on either side, but it's a curious waste of resources, anyway. The inner print is fairly mundane, depicting a quartet of characters from the
show, from left to right Lucy Lawless' Ruby, Bruce Campbell's Ash, Ray Santiago's Pablo, and Dana DeLorenzo's Kelly.

Ash vs Evil Dead: The Complete Third Season Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation
Ash vs Evil Dead was cancelled after season three, but the show goes out with an impressive, collectible SteelBook in one of its home video
highlights. The front artwork is killer, the back and insides not so much, but the SteelBook feels great in the hand and that front is well worth making a
space to display it properly. Recommended.
