LG Introduces First Ultra High-Definition 4K TVs in the U.S.

The first 4K a.k.a Ultra High-Definition TV set went on sale today in the U.S. Manufactured by LG Electronics USA, the LG 84-inch class (84-inch diagonal) LED TV was introduced in Southern California today via high-end retailer Video & Audio Center.

Model 84LM9600 has a native Ultra High-Def screen resolution of 3840 X 2160 and an MSRP of $19,999.99.

Model 84LM9600 delivers four times the level of detail from full 1080p HD resolution to a 8 million pixels. The TV set is also equipped with a powerful up-conversion engine - the LG Resolution Upscaler Plus.

Currently, native 4K content is not available on the market.
