Arrow Films have acquired the distribution rights for Frencn director Pascal Bonitzer's comedy Cherchez Hortense (2012). The film stars Jean-Pierre Bacri (Look at Me), Kristin Scott Thomas (The Woman in the Fifth) and Isabelle Carré Private Fears in Public Places).
Arrow Films plan a theatrical release for the film in early 2013. A Blu-ray release should appear later in the year.
Cherchez Hortense tells the story of Damien (Bacri), a professor of Chinese civilization, who lives with his wife, Iva (Thomas), a theater director, and their son Noé. Their love is mired in a mountain of routine and disenchantment. To help keep Zorica from getting deported, Iva gets Damien to promise he'll go to his father, a state department official, for help. But Damien and his father have a distant and cool relationship. And this mission is a risky business which will send Damien spiraling downward and over the edge...
